What are your job responsibilities?
I oversee our Programmatic, Search, and Paid Social media teams. We manage media campaigns for a variety of different clients and have a full-service digital media offering: everything from direct response campaigns to branding campaigns, from branded search to Connected TV. For all media, we work closely with our analytics team to make sure we are measuring performance and are accountable to that performance. We optimize our clients’ media on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis using an iterative “test and learn” approach to drive performance improvements.
How long have you been at DELVE?
Since February 2020.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
While there is no typical day, I do spend most of my time collaborating with internal teams as well as clients. We connect on campaign performance, growth opportunities, and upcoming initiatives.
What is the best part of your job?
That there is no typical day. I’m constantly learning from coworkers, from clients, and from others in the industry. It’s a really dynamic role. Plus I feel especially good about helping our non-profit clients grow their revenue.
How do you stay connected with teammates even when working remotely?
I had a month in the office before we shifted to 100% remote, which was good for onboarding, but we’re constantly chatting via Slack. I try to have my camera on for most video calls to build that sense of connection. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing coworkers in person again later this year.
What are you excited about, work-wise, in 2021?
Continuing to partner with our clients and help them grow their businesses. It’s a win-win partnership: if we’re able to perform from a media standpoint, it helps our clients’ businesses grow, and it also helps DELVE grow. We’ve seen a lot of success this past year even during the pandemic, and I’m excited to continue that.
I’m also excited about how we’ve grown the media team. We’re onboarding more people on the programmatic team, and we’re working on expanding our search and social team as well.
What are some characteristics of people who do well at DELVE?
People who do well at DELVE are self-starters. There’s not a lot of hand-holding, so someone who can take initiative, who can come up with solutions to problems without even being asked will be successful here. Someone who is very resourceful, who doesn’t wait for an answer to a question but can investigate and learn on their own does very well at DELVE.
My favorite mar tech tool is…
Google Sheets and Google Slides, because I love how collaborative we can be with these tools. They certainly help with version control issues!
Outside of work, you can find me…
Outside! I like to spend as much time outside as possible, often with my two toddlers. Teaching them how to ski has been both terrifying and extremely rewarding.
Something few people know about me is…
I worked at an ice cream shop as a teenager and would often eat ice cream for dinner, and it was great.
This year, I’m planning to DELVE DEEPER into…
Full-funnel cross-channel media and how we can expand our media services at DELVE. As channels evolve, I’m excited to do more with Connected TV and Digital Out of Home.
